THE BAND WHO FELL TO EARTH Plays ZIGGY STARDUST

  • Red Light Cafe 553-1 Amsterdam Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars is the album that put Bowie on the map, and The Band Who Fell to Earth will be presenting the whole album on April 26th at the Red Light Café. The album set will be bookended by two more sets of some Bowie’s best. A whole evening of Bowie! What’s not to love?

The Band Who Fell to Earth has been playing Bowie’s music for over 10 years, and they proudly claim their reputation as “the Bowie tribute for Bowie lovers”. They play music from his entire career – the songs you’d expect, and the songs you would never expect – with enthusiasm and energy.

Vocalist Christina Leidel, aka The Cracked Actor, creates a powerful onstage persona as she channels Bowie's theatricality with her multi-octave vocal range. The imminently versatile Kath Fiddlesticks sweetens the mix with her saxes and all sorts. Axe-grinder Rob Dwyer brings his 6-string assault and keyboardist Allen Welty-Green (the Mad Dr. Z) brings his sonic atmospheres. The mighty rhythm section is anchored by Bill “the “Sommerizer” Sommers on drums and the honorable Lord Charles Kinbote on bass.

Come get your Bowie on, Atlanta!
